The Chinese Film Show

The Chinese Film Show will introduce four films representing the contemporary Chinese film classic. All pieces have received awards on international festivals, while at home they have been banned. The leading author is the already well known and celebrated director Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers), who has made two of the films – Not One Less and The Road Home. They unveil today’s China, its specific humanity and tradition. Shanghai Dream by Wang Xiaoshuai portrays Chinese history, on whose background a first love experience takes place. Mountain Patrol by Chuan Lu depicts the physical beauty of China, at the centre being the inexhaustibly colourful mountains.
