Wojtek, a nineteen-year-old boy, lives in Silesia and his prospects are not very bright. He is in love with a Ukrainian immigrant, Katya, who is not only older but also has a son. Wojtek is willing to do anything possible to help her legalize her stay in Poland. The world of illegal boxing matches, petty thefts, debt collecting and evictions of the non-paying tenants tightly surrounds him. But what he does for a living demoralizes him, makes him ruthless, aggressive and cruel. His friends and relatives turn away from him...
