The driver stops at the gas pump, inserts the nozzle into the tank of his vehicle, the numbers recording the amount consumed start moving and the liquid flows In Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, the first oil well in the world was opened many years ago. The surroundings of the city are completely full of drilling holes and an interwoven network of rust-colored pipes. The pumps oscillate monotonously like strange steel animals - without a break they suck up the oil from its source. What are the secrets hidden in these century-old oil fields, which were loved by both Stalin and Hitler? Is "black gold" suitable at a spa? Why do the Russian nesting dolls of president Alijev cost more that those of Osama bin Laden? Will Azerbaijan be saved by the Contract of the Century and the magnificent oil pipeline?
