Shining

The main hero played by Jack Nicholson is a scatterbrained former alcoholic and an impotent writer. At present he is working as a caretaker in the Overlook hotel. Gradually he becomes the victim of his own hallucinations. Shining is a first-rate horror. Some of its viewers might get bored, others shiver with fear and others enjoy themselves thinking the film a great parody.
