Citizen Havel special - extended 4h version

Documentary film maker Pavel Koutecký filmed and observed the first Czech president from 1992 until 2005. Throughout the thirteen years he collected a lot of fascinating material enabling us to be “backstage” witnesses of both the political and the private dramas of his presidential term. We watch his anxiety over the first presidential election or his rehearsals of the thanksgiving speech. Koutecký shot hours of material: a 2-hour version was distributed in Czech cinemas, as well as a 20 minute longer “director’s cut”. Now, TV Nova has assembled the footage into 4, one-hour, segments for a TV series, exclusively screened in Aero, Světozor and Bio Oko!
