Fish Story

In the year 2012 a meteorite is heading for collision with Earth. While doom seems inevitable a group of people in a music store is listening to a long forgotten song called Fish Story. In 1975 a small-time punk rock band facing its demise is recording an album, which turns out to be their only achievement – it is called Fish Story. In this amusing underdog story by Yoshihiro Nakamura, one of the leading versatile genre directors in today’s Japan, fates of various people are intertwined by an unexpected chain of causes and effects and even a thing, which everybody regards as a failure might one day save the world.
