- An experimental and dreamlike film from Germany exploring the borders of the nature of movement, as refracted through time and space - although not necessarily in that order. The poetics of fragmentation set to the steady pulse of angular yet reassuring music. "Touching life / as / a dreaming course / merge to new" - director uT mansel.
- Described as a "not quite true story", Harbour Brothers is set in Finland during the "swing years" of the late 1950s, an exciting time when ships and sailors from all over the world docked in the port city of Kotka, bringing with them the sounds of American jazz, swing and blues. The film centers around a group of jazz-loving friends from Kotka who open a soon to be legendary jazz club to host their own concerts, where they hold court like emperors of the new music. Over the course of one long summer, they manage to win over both the visiting sailors and the locals. However, life intervenes in music, and the drummer almost loses everything, including his fiancee...a story about the choice between woman and song in one young man's life.
