Drawing on Jacques Prévert's scenario for Marcel Carné's film, dancer Étoile José Martinez brings to life a long-gone Paris, that of the "Boulevard du Crime" in the first half of the 19th century. In sets suggesting a movie set, the mime Baptiste unreels the thread of his memories… revealing a world of magic and mystery where real life and the stage are closely interlinked.
