Pustelniks in the Mountains

Himalayan alpinist Piotr Pustelnik (the father) and rock climbers, Adam and Pawel Pustelnik (the sons) are embarking on simultaneous but very different climbs. The film’s aim is to depict the difference in their attitude to the mountains and on a wider scale, to life itself. Through amazing footage and sobering humility the film captures the generational differences of adventure. The formal approach based on using two different film styles (classical fly-on-the-wall) in case of the father and relax videoclips in the case of the sons) represents the author´s original way of telling the story.

The screening is in partnership with Ekofilm, the International Film Festival on the Environment.
