Woman without Piano

(La mujer sin piano)
Javier Rebollo / E - F, 2009
Spanish version / Czech and English subtitles, 95 min

Rosa is a typical housewife who, after spending years in a colorless daily routine, realizes that this is not how she imagined her life. The sudden impulse to ‘just leave‘ takes her to the train station where she meets Radek, a young Polish handyman with a dark past. Initially, Rosa has no idea how this encounter will change her life. During the next 24 hours, she experiences a series of events, some absurd, some ordinary. The film, with Jan Budar in a leading role, plays against the background of Madrid at night, and is told with gentle and sometimes cynical humour.
