Jodhaa Akbar

The stunning historical epic by Ashutosh Gowariker, director of the film Lagaan, which was nominated in 2001 for an Oscar, is the ultimate artistic depiction of the life of Mughal Emperor Akbar, who ruled India in the 16th century.
