Through This Night

The documentary is an intimate portrait of Božena Němcová. It is not a celebrative biopic nor a history of the Czech national uprising. It offers a new and innovative approach to the personality of Božena Němcová comparing her to such important artists as Virginia Woolf. Through This Night portrays of a woman who fought for the right to be herself against the social conventions, human pettiness, and sometimes even against herself.
